Patents and Designs Examiner Mains Paper 1, 2 exam on January 25 for 553 vacancies
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Examiner of Patents and Designs Mains Paper 1 and Paper 2 on January 25. The NTA is conducting the Patents and Designs Examiner recruitment for 553 vacancies. A total of 89,657 candidates had appeared for the preliminary exam for the recruitment process at 260 centres located in 103 cities throughout the country on December 21, 2023.
The result for the Examiner of Patents and Designs preliminary exam will be declared soon on the website, exams.nta.ac.in. The candidates who qualify for the preliminary exam (phase 1) will be eligible to appear for the mains examination (paper I and paper 2). The NTA informed said paper 1 will be a computed-based test and paper 2 will be a descriptive examination. Paper 1 will be held in the morning shift while paper 2 will be held in the evening shift. Exam pattern
The interview for the recruitment process will be announced later on the website. Paper 1 will be of 100 marks, which the students will have to attempt in two hours. Paper 1 will have questions on general knowledge and current affairs (20 marks), general aptitude (20 Marks), elementary mathematics (20 Marks), English language proficiency (20 Marks), and knowledge related to intellectual property rights (IPRs) (20 Marks). Paper2 will be of 300 marks, which students will have to attempt in three hours. It will have technical and scientific discipline of the vacancy applied for.
