NMC conducts training session on assessing quality medical education at colleges

The National Medical Commission (NMC) conducted a refresher training session on assessing quality education at medical colleges in the country. The training session was held on December 14 by the NMC and focused on reinforcing the standards and methodologies employed in assessing medical students. Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) member JL Meena, Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UMEB) member Vijayendra Kumar and, Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) member Yogender Malik, along with three experts, conducted the training session. Malik, who is also the head of the media division at NMC, said, “The completion of this rigorous training exemplifies our steadfast dedication to fostering excellence in medical education. These initiatives are vital in ensuring that our medical professionals receive top-tier training, ultimately benefiting our healthcare system.”

The NMC acknowledges the collective efforts of educators, professionals, and stakeholders involved in fortifying the quality of medical education in India. These proactive measures underline the NMC’s commitment to fostering competent and skilled medical professionals for the nation.
